G Gathering HOG WASH RAISES $5500

HOG WASH RAISES $5500

County commissioners, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and a bank manager were among those who turned out in March to wash pigs for a good cause. And that's no hog wash. Nearly 400 people paid $7.00 to have dinner and watch the pigs get pretty. The volunteer washers had each committed at least $250 in donations they'd received in order to participate. Currituck County Clerk of Court Ray Matusko brought in $900 in donations. The beneficiary of all this fun was the Alzheimer's Association, which received the check last month.
